A new wooden Dragon

Have made some smaller dragon models using card paper and bristol paper and then a balsa one, now tried one using hardwoods. The material is basswood which is a preferred medium for carving, plus used some Maple dowel for the neck and tail plus fingers/toes/horns. The wings and tail plus the facial fins are card stock paper. The character is a cartoon style dragon and decided to make this one with a function instead of just ornamental. Built him onto a desk caddy for pencils and pens. Used a color scheme of gator greens and some raptor stripes.

Thinking that I might add a plaque with a saying on the face of the block holder. Something like "inspiration" or maybe something more direct , like "Draw Something, Dammit !"
