Description
After doing digital coloring of "Saltare Solus" and increasing my confidence in working with other's LineArt, I wanted to try this real big size drawing from
at
[link]
It is available to try as long as you follow the use rules and several have done versions of it so you can join an impressive little gallery right inside his regular one.
While I doubt my version is of quality for art prints to be made, if you should- check with the original artist about this and for the rules on that.
I liked OnyxDragon for several reasons, first, in not having a background, it allows the artist creating a new version to create a backdrop (or not!) of their choice and mine is a Southwest US desert, my home skies.
Another is the look of the character, who in his scales and the ridges, horns and the back spines assumes an almost crystalline minerals look to himself as though a part of those stones extruding from the volcanic earth he sits on.
A third is a chance, seeing how others have worked this project, to paint a dragon with thin skinned wings and play with the light-through a little bit, new technique for me.
Hope you like and please if you fave here, visit
and fave there. Thanks!
